Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how shopmate GmbH ("we", "us"), operator of HeatAndAirDesk (heatandairdesk.com) and the LocalProDesk network, collects and uses personal information.
Information we collect
- Website usage: pages viewed, clicks on call buttons, approximate location derived from your IP address (country, state, city, ZIP), device and browser type, referring website and campaign parameters in the link you clicked (for example an advertising click ID).
- Phone calls: when you call a number on our site, our call tracking provider records your phone number, the time and duration of the call, the area it was placed from and, where permitted, a recording of the call.
- Information you give us: anything you tell us or a provider during a call, or send us by email.
How we use it
- to connect your call with an independent service provider in your area;
- to bill providers for referrals and to prevent fraud and duplicate calls;
- to measure and improve our advertising and our website;
- for quality assurance, training and dispute resolution (call recordings).
Who we share it with
- Service providers you are connected with, who receive your call and phone number.
- Call tracking and routing: Ringba (call routing, recording and reporting).
- Advertising platforms: when you arrive from an ad, we may share limited data with the advertising platform (for example OpenAI for ads in ChatGPT) to measure whether the ad led to a call. Phone numbers are shared only in hashed form. This may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under some U.S. state laws; see "Your choices" below.
- Hosting and analytics: Cloudflare (hosting, security) and our own first-party analytics.
- Authorities, if required by law.
We do not sell personal information for money.
Your choices
- Opt out of sharing for advertising: email hello@localprodesk.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share". We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal; if your browser sends it, our pages do not load advertising measurement tags.
- Access, correction, deletion: depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information. Send requests to the email above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
- Call recording: if you don't want your call recorded, tell the provider at the start of the call or don't call.
Retention
We keep call records and website analytics for as long as needed for billing, fraud prevention and legal obligations, generally no longer than 24 months.
Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
International transfers
We are based in Germany and our service providers operate in the United States and other countries. Where the EU GDPR applies, we rely on legitimate interests (connecting and billing calls, measuring advertising) and appropriate transfer safeguards.
